Eye candy

Reading the latest Elle Decor, I found Alexandra Wentworth' Georgetown home on the front page, which caught my eye immediately, since I adore the shelves in blue and the pink John Derian poufs...

....not to mention the rug, which she dyed with swirls of lilac color. Very brave and a great success. It surely helped to engage her boarding school friend Elizabeth Martin who happens to be a very talented designer. Their collaboration is a wonderful story to read and to see.

Alexandra has the most incredible collection of sea shells and rare corals, they adorn her home and show beautifully. The house feels light and airy, very family friendly and nevertheless incredibly elegant. Just like her!

How gorgeous is this library?
It's all about layering.
