Victoria, I adore Clara Schumann. She was a great figure. Actually, I am more drawn to her works rather than that of her husband. There is more "soul", more "Feeling". Her husband had a complex mind. He sadly ended up in the "Psychiatrie". I could go on and on here but this is not an essay:-)
I've always loved her music. I once organised a little recital to come and perform in the art gallery where I curated a show about women artists. I selected several songs written by women composers and Clara was one of them. I remember a soprano singing Clara's song called "Liebeszauber".
Last night, one of the dance's was to Ravel's Bolero - just wonderful!
