Over the last few days I have been shopping with clients, this is usually great fun and today again was no exception.
We were picking a side table for the front hall of their apartment I have been working on for the last months and found a beautiful one to be considered...
We were discussing flower arrangements for a small dining room side board.
We finally could laugh about the ladybug invasion they have had to deal with over the last few days in their apartment... I know that they were not the only ones, apparently a lot of homes in their neighborhood had been affected. Probably those warmer late October days...
Which reminded me of a children's book I read as a child in Germany by Willhelm Busch: Max and Moritz, bad boy stories to warn children off....in which at one part they release a bag of bugs on to an innocent sleeping teacher...most popular among all youngsters, who read it with glee and certain horror! No happy ending there!

We shopped for a wall clock and found one!
We discovered beautiful candles for a pair of candelabras.
We enjoyed a lovely lunch at 'True Foods' in Nyack together had a great day out and about!
It makes me happy to work out final details...
Did you enjoy your work today?

Sounds like a great day! I'm currently on maternity leave, waiting for the baby... SO not much going on here! Only 16 days to go though!! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Window Washers arrived, the same time my knitting group arrived!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed home made butternut squash soup and they loved my paisley fabric for my chair. Every day is like a sparkly sunny window, so much to see and to be thankful for!

Dagny, I am thinking of you! Good luck with everything! Get some rest...
ReplyDeletePatricia, it's perfect soup season and your butternut squash sounds mouthwatering. I can imagine your large windows shining in the great light you are getting... And the fabric is beautiful!

Lovely finds...especially loving the side table.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughtful comment today, I really appreciate it! Shopping with clients is fun but the way I do it has there be no time for lunch. . . I need to learn from you :)
