Blossoms and other beauties

It's Friday already, I had hardly time to see this week fly by.
Friday blossoms from my window ledge...

Last month I had picked up two beautiful buffet lamps, custom made for a client by Susan Schneider of Shandell's and promised to post on these once they were properly set up. Now we are done and they look just amazing. Susan has such talent and the workmanship is wonderful. She pays attention to details and it makes such a difference. It's the difference between an ordinary lamp and an artful object.
Her shop is filled with lamp bases, waiting to find a fitting handmade shade and a loving home, she creates other small things, that make you smile...check it out!

Here a reminder of the room I had designed and decorated last year for clients and the lamps were meant for the sideboard. See the entire project here.

And another view into the room. The sideboard is opposite to the large window to the left. It's one of the first things you see coming through the front door.

Work in progress....

The base of the lamps are two wonderful church candle holders, Susan suggested the fabulous handmade grass cloth paper and the double trim. They look stunning, lit and off too.

Here now a view into the room, coming through the door and turning left from the hallway:

They fit in nicely, in a quiet and understated way, without stealing the show from the painting and yet having the presence of artfully designed pieces.
I like to come into a room and after being there for a while to discover such lovely details.

I wish you a peaceful weekend.
