Hachette shutters Metropolitan Home magazine - Crain's New York Business
Latest casualty in the design industry: I just read a few minutes ago that Metropolitan Home will close down and has distributed its last issue - December 2009 - in stores now! I am so sad and shocked by the news, though not entirely surprised. What's left?

Is it because no one is reading magazines? Or just the economy? Really sad!
ReplyDeleteLiebe Frau, I think it's a combination, subscriptions, store bought, general economy and those large publishing houses try to stay afloat by reducing costs (salaries)and everything not selling well enough goes under...it's too bad!
